One Kiss

Sometimes I wonder… How much harm could one kiss do? Just one kiss… Just to see… Just to test the waters. Could you tolerate my beard, or would it be too scratchy for you? Would you enjoy my taste? I can't possibly imagine not enjoying yours…

Would you like the feel of my fingertips, lightly brushing your cheek on their way to the back of your neck? Running through your hair?

Or could I even hold you, just hold you, just to see how it feels, while we look into each others eyes?

Would it be such a bad thing, if our hands brushed past each other? Touching, just for an instant, an eternity… in an instant?

Would the world end if you tapped me on the shoulder… again, like you did all those years ago, the only time we've ever come into contact, electricity coursing through my body even though I hadn't fallen yet… As if some part of me knew, just knew instinctively what was to come?

Could we… find out?
